league committee workers, match officials, club officers, players or
visiting members of the public.
therefore use the guidance which follows to update your calendar -
keeping your closing dates up to date on the website means Norman
cannot appoint you for a date you have closed - and send in your
match reports using the on-line form.
our match officials should have received an email advising them of
their official Username and Password. Using these to log on makes
available a whole load of information and website features otherwise
hidden from other users and the general

Please change your password as soon as you can to one you use (and
can remember) and which is not known to anyone else. The password
issued by the league is intended purely to get you started as a
website user and is not secure.
you do not currently have an email address please do your best to
remedy this. If
you have an email address but it doesn't show on your details please
amend them and let me
you don't have email and have no experience of using email but would
like to get on board with the technology any league officer will be
happy to help you with advice. There are also several club officers
with substantial computer/internet experience we can put you in
touch with if you prefer.
on Your Details in the menu at the top of the page to see a
record of all we know about you. Update this regularly and
immediately any changes to your contact details
on Your Appointments in the menu to see a summary of all
your games both upcoming and played. You can also see your
appointments - and those of your assistants or match referee - by
clicking on Fixtures and Tables and selecting the dates and
section/division you are interested
on Your Availability in the menu to see a calendar showing
your open and closed dates for the season. Update this regularly as
closing a date automatically removes you from Norman Appleby's list of
available match officials and prevents appointments being made that
you cannot accept.
you are closing a date with the league because you have a county cup
appointment check first whether the cup you are appointed for is
shown on our website. If it is - and many of them including the
Anagram, Herts Senior and Intermediatecups and others, are -
then please don't close the date. If you do it will prevent us
showing your name against the tie you will be doing because the
system will consider the date closed and you unavailable.
gets a list from the county of all cup appointments and, provided
the date is open, will add your appointment to the fixtures details
on the website.
each appointment you have completed you will see a pencil icon
indicating that the match report for the game has not been
submitted. (Once a report has been entered the icon changes to the
on the pencil to enter your match report online. Please remember to
confirm the score. The online match report is fully operational but
you still need to submit paper match reports only these can now be
sent in monthly batches where the on-line match reports are used.

ask all our referees to familiarise themselves with Appendix 'A' to
our rules. While it is not part of your formal match day duties, we
rely on feedback from our officials to highlight instances where
clubs may be letting their standards slip. So please report whenever
team sheets are late, teams are short, you receive no hospitality,
match balls are not provided, you have to chase after your fee,
benches, corner flags, goal nets are missing or defective, and so
mark you give below 6 or where you select "bad" and any form with a
comment in the Notes areas - good or bad - is automatically
highlighted for attention by the Referees Secretary who will send
out fines as appropriate using your marks and comments.
you use the on-line match report please remember to send in the
paper team sheets in monthly batches as the league still needs these
as a record of who played etc. Referees without the internet should
continue to report clubs using the paper match report form which
must be sent-in as soon after the game as is convenient.

secretary, or to Lawrence Workman (if you are reporting a club for
faciltities, hospitality etc), our league development/standards

noticeboard - accessed by clicking Noticeboards in the menu
on the left - is an important two-way communication route and is
there to be used by the league, club officers and players and match
officials to receive and pass on information about any aspect of the
well as general information topics there is a section
dedicated to our match officials (and only available to match
officials) which you can access by logging on using the Username and
Password described at the top of this page. Visit the noticeboard
often and use it to pass on your feedback and thoughts about the
